Deciphering the Trinity . . . and more

So this week we are starting a brand new series. It’s only two weeks long, but it will be chock full of great stuff. If you’ve ever been super confused by the whole Father, SOn and Spirit thing, then this series is for you . . . here’s a quick promo our Media Pastor, Brad Tatum and last years intern, Andrew DiCharry put together . . . amazing talent!

As if that wasn’t excitement enough, there’s more . . . this week we are giving away free . . . yes I said FREE tickets to UP: a night of worship coming Friday, August 14th at 7:30pm. You can read all about it after this weekends message on our website, here on the blog or the Team Church Facebook. There will be lots more info to come, but for now don’t forget to mark your calendar for this great night of worship. You can add it to your Calendar by downloading the link here.

Whom shall I fear? . . .

Psalm 27: 1
The Lord is my light and my salvation-whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life-of whom shall I be afraid?

In my quiet time this morning I re-read this Psalm a few times because I knew the Lord was trying to speak into my heart something I’d been running from. It’s something that happens to us all in life. It’s something that cripples us and quite honestly wastes our time. It’s the fear of man, the fear of what people are thinking of me (you) and if I am truly honest is a selfish reaction to an opportunity for God to shine in and through us in a place where He is teaching us something. Looking UP together . . .

On August 14th Team Church will host our first ever night of worship. It will coincide with our final summer series entitled “Activate”. There will be more details coming soon about times and what you can do to be a part of it. I can tell you this much if you are a part of the Worship Team at Team Church, I highly recommend you mark this date now. Although you may not be on the stage, you will be a part of the worship experience by worshipping fervently from the crowd.
Our times of corporate worship are a high value at Team Church, as a mater of fact it’s one of our core values expressed in the idea of personal devotion. So, make sure to mark off the date now and be looking for more information soon about UP: a night of worship.

Starting over . . .

So I did something really stupid the other day . . .

I was going through all of our domain accounts that we own as a church and began consolidating them to save money and make my life easier . . . Well, I used to own csfband.com which was he site to our old blog and resource center for the band. That is no longer and we began using teamchurchworship.com. ell apparently I was piggy-backing off the space used for csfband.com. It was one of the accounts I deleted (along with all of the past 6 months of posts and resources). So here is the BRAND NEW . . . teamchurchworship.com. It is not finished (or begun) . . . just this post to tide you over until it’s complete.

This weekend, Julie and I are in Nashville, TN recording with Chris Tomlin and about 75-100 other worship leaders. We are recording his Christmas Album at Oceanway Studios, home to some incredible musical experiences and greats in the industry.
Last night we recorded the first pass o the songs on the record, a great mix of traditional and originals songs with arrangements ranging from soft, smooth and tender to energetic and celebratory. Continue Reading…

Mother’s Day Opener: Days Go By

Its no secret that I have a man-crush on Keith Urban. Besides being an incredible guitar player and vocalist, he writes great songs. he inspires and pulls the most pure, good-time feeling out of you when you press the play button. Anyway, I was inspired by his concert last year and performed one of his songs for Mother’s Day. started out in the atrium on one of our random 2×2 boxes and made my way into the auditorium, then to the stage to finish the song out. Watch how the song progresses, it was a fantastic way to start out our day as we celebrated the mother’s in our lives.
